Thank you for your patience

We paused lessons while we assessed the broader community needs during COVID-19. In our original message, we thanked customers for their patience and explained that protecting our team and learners had guided that decision.

As Queensland's community transmission decreased, restrictions eased and schools prepared to reopen for Years 11 and 12, we announced that most of our team would resume lessons from Friday 8 May 2020. Some instructors were due to return in the following weeks.

Our online booking system allowed students to see which instructors were available as lessons resumed.

Driving tests at the time

The original notice explained that Queensland practical driving tests were suspended. Lessons could continue to help students prepare for when testing returned.

It also described our then-current test preparation package and noted that the separate TMR booking fee was $66. That historical price is not a current quote.

Keys2Drive at the time

Keys2Drive lessons were suspended because the learner, supervisor and instructor shared the car. We hoped to resume that service when the programme permitted it.

The national programme later closed in 2023. See our Keys2Drive closure notice for that separate development.

Getting ready to welcome learners back

During the pause, we also reviewed our lesson packages and online booking arrangements. The message ended with our team's thanks and enthusiasm for helping students continue working towards their licences.

The original announcement included the Blitz your test! promotional clip for the test preparation package offered at the time. It is historical promotional material, not footage of the reopening or a current offer.
