What happened to the RACQ app?
RACQ announced that it was retiring its learner driver logbook app and recommended the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) app instead.
Its closure information said stored driving data would be kept until 30 June 2024, with arrangements for RACQ to submit logged hours to TMR. That was a historical transfer window, not a promise that old data remains available today.
Read RACQ's app retirement notice. If you still have an unresolved record, contact RACQ and TMR for advice about your circumstances.
Recording learner hours now
TMR's learner logbook guidance explains the accepted app and paper formats, how to record trips and how to submit your logbook.

The Queensland Learner Logbook is available for Apple devices and Android devices. Check the current device requirements and make sure the publisher is Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Professional lessons and night hours
Under TMR's logbook rules, each hour of daytime driving with an accredited driver trainer can count as three logbook hours, up to 10 actual hours or 30 logbook hours. Lessons beyond that allowance count in real time.
A lesson at night can count as night driving or triple time, but not both. If you need night practice, discuss suitable times with your instructor.
