Practice and feedback
A Chelmer lesson can help a returning driver identify what still feels familiar and what needs refreshing. Work through one task at a time, using feedback to rebuild consistency rather than assuming you need to start from the beginning.
Coastwide instructors are Queensland-accredited. Our instructor-provided lesson cars have dual controls. We are part of a group that has helped students pass their test since 1959.
Plan your lesson
Current lesson packages and prices show the product choices. Most lessons last 60 to 90 minutes; confirm your instructor's offered duration and inclusions.
Read the listed instructor profiles and check current lesson times. Say whether you want beginner instruction, refresher driving lessons in Chelmer or pre-test feedback.
Agree your pickup
For lessons in Chelmer, arrange home, school or work pickup and return with your instructor before booking. Give the full address and say if you need to finish somewhere different.
Possible meeting by arrangement: Corinda Library, 641 Oxley Road, Corinda. Council lists parking on surrounding streets. Confirm the exact spot, time and access with your instructor.
The two current profiles, Shane and Sarah, both offer automatic lessons. Choose between their teaching approaches and calendars; ask Coastwide separately about manual coverage.
Mock-test feedback can show recurring gaps in observation, parking, manoeuvres or decisions. Use it to plan further practice before the practical test. It does not predict the examiner's route or guarantee a pass.
Coastwide has male and female instructors at school level. Tell the team your preference when enquiring; they can confirm whether a suitable instructor serves your address and has a time that works for you.
TMR lists Sherwood at 14 Primrose Street, Sherwood; practical car testing is offered. Check the location on your own test confirmation and discuss the arrangements with your instructor.
The Test Day Package requires at least one prior Coastwide lesson for existing customers. Some instructors also accept new test customers. Call to coordinate the instructor, test centre and time before booking the government test.
