Clear instruction and feedback
What you learn in a Karawatha lesson
At first, operating the controls can take much of your attention. Your instructor helps you learn those actions while building the habit of checking what is happening around you. Practice gradually combines movement, observation and planning.
If you already drive with a supervisor, lessons can examine the details that are easy to overlook: preparing early for a turn, noticing a developing hazard or keeping a parking manoeuvre controlled. You receive feedback on the task and can practise the correction rather than leaving with a vague instruction to improve.
Coastwide instructors serving Karawatha are Queensland-accredited, and our lesson cars have dual controls. We are part of a group that has helped students pass their test since 1959.
