Choose your lessons
Practise steering, observation and speed control without coordinating a clutch. Choose an automatic instructor from the local profiles.
Work on clutch control, gear choice and smooth starts alongside your observation. Select the manual profile when booking.
A mock test can show which skills remain inconsistent. Use the feedback to decide where further practice is needed.

Practice and feedback
When practice has become routine, ask James to check one skill rather than assuming repetition means it is settled. The session might review the timing of observations, a parking correction or manual gear choice. Use the feedback to set a more specific goal for the next supervised drive.
Coastwide instructors serving Lockrose are Queensland-accredited. Our instructor-provided lesson cars have dual controls. We are part of a group that has helped students pass their test since 1959.
Plan your lesson
View current lesson and package prices. Most Coastwide lessons run for 60 to 90 minutes; check the duration on the product you choose.
Match the profile to the transmission you want, then look at actual availability. Share any nerves or learning priorities before the lesson so your instructor can plan with you.
Agree your pickup
Give the Lockrose street number, road and any entrance instructions. Lockrose spans the Lockyer Valley and Somerset council areas, so the council name is not a substitute for a complete address.
Lockrose State School is listed at 17 Zabel Road, Lockrose. If you work there and want a lesson from that address, confirm the meeting point and return arrangements with James.
Your actual address is what James needs. Lockrose has official locality records in both Lockyer Valley and Somerset; give the street address and check the pickup directly rather than relying on one regional label.
Ipswich lists practical car tests at 2 Colvin Street, North Ipswich. Ask Coastwide to confirm instructor and test-car availability for your chosen centre before booking with TMR.
The standard Test Day Package is for existing customers who have completed at least one Coastwide lesson. Some instructors accept new test customers by arrangement. Confirm the instructor, centre and time before reserving your government test.
