Markus is a Professional Trainer Assessor with over 30 years’ experience and has worked within many varied industry education roles, both in Australia and overseas. He is a qualified Yacht Master Instructor and an accredited QLD BoatSafe training provider and has worked previously with St John Ambulance & Surf Life Saving QLD as a commercial trainer teaching advanced First Aid & Resuscitation.
It was while living in Switzerland for 2 years working for the Swiss Ski School, that Markus noticed that northern European drivers in countries like Germany, Holland & Switzerland generally possessed better driving skills and road safety habits than in Australia. Upon returning home, Markus was convinced that he wanted to deliver professional driver training for new learner drivers, that not only delivers excellent driving skills & knowledge, not just to ‘past the test’, but to enthuse learners that safety awareness and developing a safe driving ethos is key. Partnering with Coastwide Driving whose motto is, “Safe Driving, For Life”, enables Markus to achieve these outcomes.
Markus has taught all 3 of his children to be safe & skilled drivers, and he is dedicated to also teaching your children in the same way.
Finally, Markus also holds a Heavy Vehicle licence, Bus & Coach driver authority & Motorcycle licence. He loves riding his Ducati on the Sunshine Coast’s wonderful hinterland roads.
