Get comfortable with the controls in your Aspley lesson
There is no need to arrive knowing how to drive. Your Aspley lesson can begin with the driving position, mirrors and controls, followed by steering, moving off and stopping smoothly. The instructor explains what you are practising before adding more to the task.
Once the basic car control feels more familiar, you can give more attention to what is happening around you. Practise looking ahead, keeping a suitable space and making decisions without rushing. Say when you need an explanation repeated; understanding it matters more than moving on quickly.
Coastwide uses Queensland-accredited instructors and dual-control lesson cars. We are part of a group that has helped students pass their test since 1959.
